The Nurture Group has had a very eventful year and we would like to share with parent/carers and friends some of the main events that we have celebrated.
In the Autumn Term we first celebrated Halloween by preparing pumpkins.
- Next was Bonfire Night, learning about how to keep safe through the Fire Services Welephant Safety programme.
- After that came Diwali, where we made clay Diwas Lamps and learnt about Rama and Sita.
- Then finally Christmas, where we decorated the Nurture Room and had our own Christmas Party.
The Spring Term began with celebrating the Chinese New Year, where we prepared noodles to eat with prawn crackers and then we were all given a Fortune Cookie to open.
- During Easter, we had an egg hunt in the Nurture Garden and were given chocolate eggs to share.
- Later, we visited the Foundation Stage to see and hold the gorgeous chicks that had recently been born.
The Summer Term has been a time for improving the Nurture Garden.
- We have been really busy cleaning, organising and planting.
- Throughout the year we have been mindful of each other and ourselves.
- We have welcomed new friends to the group and have worked together as a team by sharing when playing games and throughout our many craft activities.
