On Monday 9th October, Key Stage 1 and 2 children gathered together to celebrate the end of the SEAL topic:
New Beginnings.
(SEAL means Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning)

Throughout the school year, the children are taught seven themes:
- New Beginnings,
- Getting on and falling out,
- Say no to bullying,
- Going for goals!,
- Good to be me,
- Relationships and
- Changes.
The aim of SEAL is to develop the underpinning qualities and skills that help promote positive behaviour and effective learning. It focuses on five social and emotional aspects of learning:
- self-awareness,
- managing feelings,
- motivation,
- empathy and
- social skills.
The children were very proud sharing their work with their school family and also having it displayed on the SEAL notice board in the Dining Hall for parent/carers to read.
