This Spring term we have been learning about the importance of nurturing kindness in children by incorporating some of these practices into our daily routines. We discovered a key part in our learning was being taught empathy.
During our nurture sessions we have learnt that:
- Kind children are also children who are charitable, who know mam and dad cannot buy everything that they want. They are patient, thankful and have self control.
- Being friendly, smiling and saying kind words encourages friendships and makes other people want to be around you.
- When you are being kind it makes you feel good and the world seems a better place.
Kindness is contagious!
Here are some of our Kindness displays we have created in our nurture room.
