Reception Class learn about Baptism
The Reception children found out how we welcome people into God’s family through the sacrament of Baptism.
We re-enacted the story of Matthew’s Baptism and visited St. Anne’s church to see the font.
We sang our favourite hymn ‘I belong to the family of God’

Reception Class Liturgy
The Reception children helped to plan a class liturgy on Wednesday 7th February. The theme of our liturgy was Celebrating. We looked at photographs of the parish family and the children choose prayers to say. We listened to the Our Father prayer and lit a candle to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. We concluded our liturgy by thinking about our mission to say thank you to someone special.

Year 5 visit the Theatre Royal in Newcastle
Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip out today to watch the stage production of 'The Jungle Book'. They have read the book in class and so this was a lovely way to end the term. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the production and were impeccably behaved. We even managed to get a photograph with the actor who played Shere Khan!

A reminder when planning holidays
SATs are held from Monday 14th to Friday 18th May 2018
It is very important that you do not book holidays during the school term
and especially not leading up to May.
Your child’s attendance does affect their education.
Mini Vinnies support local foodbank
In the month of March, we have been praying for the hungry and needy. With this in mind, our Mini Vinnies set out to collect Easter eggs for our local foodbank. Today we delivered them and they were gratefully accepted.
Thank you to everyone for all your support with this!
